With a commanding 10-2 league record, the Colts have officially captured the Oakland Activities Association (OAA) White Division Championship, marking the third consecutive year the program has climbed to the top of the league standings.

Navigating a highly competitive season to post an overall record of 16-8, Troy High overcame early adversity through a trademark combination of veteran leadership and an explosive influx of underclassmen talent. The championship run cements Head Coach Joe D'Orazio’s squad as a premier program in Oakland County, proving that despite shifting rosters from year to year, the Colts' culture of resilience remains unshakeable.

Dominance on the Mound

The foundation of the Colts' championship formula has been a thoroughly suffocating pitching staff, spearheaded by senior ace Jack Sobotka. Sobotka has turned in an extraordinary spring on the mound, carving up opposing lineups to the tune of a microscopic 0.55 ERA. Whenever Troy needed a shutdown performance to steady the ship, the senior veteran answered the call.

But a true championship run requires depth, and Coach D'Orazio found it in an exceptionally bright youth movement. Sophomore Cullen Adams stepped seamlessly into the varsity rotation, anchoring the staff alongside Sobotka by maintaining an impressive 1.9 ERA. The underclassmen surge did not stop there: sophomore Henry Otterbacher proved to be a multi-talented asset on the mound, while crucial, high-leverage innings were logged by junior Emmett Kohl and freshman Isaac Geisner, giving the Colts a formidable staff capable of grinding down deep offenses.
