Helene Ruhana Roy, 86, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. Born in Detroit, she was the first in her family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Detroit in 1962. Her professional career included teaching history and math, running a culinary arts program, and becoming a top real estate producer for Century 21. She was a devoted wife to her husband of sixty years, Kenneth, and a loving mother of five and grandmother of eleven. A woman of strong Catholic faith, she was also known for her passion for reading and her skill in crafting quilted art. Visitation will be held on September 7 in Troy, followed by a funeral mass on September 8 at St. Irenaeus in Rochester Hills.
