Henry Ford High School Boys Basketball Update 12/31/2025
DETROIT — 12/31/2025
The Detroit Henry Ford Trojans boys varsity basketball team has navigated a challenging start to the 2025–26 campaign. Under the guidance of Head Coach Kenneth Flowers, the Trojans currently hold a 1–9 overall record. Despite the record, the team has shown flashes of high-octane offense, particularly in a narrow 91–86 shootout loss against Davis Aerospace Tech earlier this month.
The highlight of the season thus far was a dominant 72–52 victory over Detroit Northwestern on December 9th. However, the Trojans have struggled to find consistency on the defensive end, dropping their last seven contests. As they prepare to enter the heart of the Detroit Public I league schedule in January, the team will look to veterans like senior Adriel Moravec and junior Caidyn Dent to stabilize the rotation.

Analysis and Key Details
While the 1–9 start is not what the Trojans envisioned, it is worth noting the strength of their schedule. Losses to Western International and Eastpointe came against programs traditionally ranked high in the state. The Trojans' offense is averaging approximately 52 points per game, but they will need to lower their defensive points-allowed average (currently near 66 PPG) to compete for a top spot in the Detroit Public I standings. The upcoming January 16th match against Cody remains a "Circle the Calendar" game for the local community, as both programs fight for neighborhood bragging rights.
